L E T C H F O R D  A R T

David was born and raised in Chuquicamata, Chile. He started drawing at an early age and is for the most part self taught other than having received private art lessons in Lima, Peru where his family lived during his early teens. In 1975 David moved to Miami, Florida and acquired an Associates in Arts Degree. He later relocated to Houston, Texas in 1979 where he took work in Lithography as a lead pressman and continued creating paintings during his spare time while working and raising a family. In the fall of 2015, David and his wife Colleen relocated to Pagosa Springs, Colorado where they share a studio.

Many of David’s works are surreal with outstanding attention paid to detail, color and shading. His artwork is greatly influenced by artists such as Dali and Vermeer. David's current oil paintings incorporate physical objects to create three dimensional artworks.
